Tamil alphabets

In this post, we will map the Tamil alphabet to their phonetic sounds. Tamil is one of the oldest languages in the Indian sub-continent and according to many experts is the possible basis of the Indus Script.

First the vowels in Tamil language

Next, we will expand this to cover all the consonants and their different forms. Admittedly, not being a Tamil speaker or having any understanding of the language there will be errors in the following table. I will correct the table on an ongoing basis in subsequent revisions to the same post.
